This Month's Featured Ship

Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas

Can you imagine sailing on the world's largest cruise ship?   Royal Caribbean's one year old Icon of the Seas went big.  No, it went huge!   Its Gross Registered Tonnage weighs in at 248,663 and can accommodate over 7,500 passengers!   It has been compared to a floating city and, like many of Royal Caribbean's other large ships, boasts its own Central Park.  It is packed with restaurants, bars, amusements, entertainment venues, promenades, and features a vast range of staterooms from interior to mind-blowing suites like the Ultimate Family Townhouse that's everything your kids could dream of and more.   Be sure to check out the featured video on the homepage to learn more about this groundbreaking ship.

What to Expect

People.  Lots of people.  And tons of things to do you might have to book another cruise just to try everything this massive ship has to offer.   Starting with Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class, this cruise line ships' design lends itself to some unique staterooms, such as those that face onboard attractions such as the Royal Promenade and Central Park.  Thus, not all balcony staterooms have an ocean view, which is something to consider when booking, as these attraction-facing staterooms may be quite a bit noisier than ocean facing staterooms of the same category.

Onboard Hotspots

Part of the fun of a cruise is the ship itself!   Here are a few reasons why:

Category Six Waterpark

On your mark, get set, get wet!   The largest waterpark on the largest cruise ship at sea, Category Six waterpark features six thrilling waterslides to get your adrenaline pumping as you get soaked!

The Aquadome

After a day of sliding, surfing, and swimming, keep the H2O entertainment going in the jaw-dropping Aquadome with a show like you've never seen before.   The awe-inspiring waterworks aren't limited to the evening hours.   Pop-up fountain shows invite you into this innovative venue even while the sun shines.

Central Park

If seeing green makes you happy, take a stroll in Central Park.  No, not the one in Manhattan!   A feature of the Oasis and Icon ship classes, this fun park-within-a-ship with real plants and trees means you don't have to go ashore to take in nature's beauty.

The Pearl

The prime spot for a photo op, The Pearl is a kinetic art sculpture with moving tiles reflecting the motion of the waves.  Up that eye-catching staircase you will find The Pearl Cafe.

Wine and Dine

With over 40 restaurants and bars to choose from, there is something on Icon of the Seas to please every palate, from casual fare of the Surfside Eatery to the first-class Celebration Table experience, there is something to eat everywhere you turn.

Unbelievable Suites!

Designed with kids in mind, the Ultimate Family Townhouse is one of the many epic suites on Icon.  A suite with a slide from the super-cool loft will make your child's heart sing!   One thing to keep in mind--your kids will never want to leave the ship!
